Web 1.0 vs. Web 2.0
Who created Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 wasn't created by just one person. Some people think that the creator might be Tim O'Reilly but Tim O'Reilly was just associated.

What kind of people use Web 2.0?
Many different people use Web 2.0 all the time like children, teens and adults. Children mostly use Web 2.0 for gamins and online games to keep them busy. As most people know teens use Web 2.0 mostly to communicate and collaborate with their society and be up to date and known whats going on around them socially. An example of a way to communicate that teens mostly use is through Facebook or a form of email. Although, teens also use Web 2.0 to find research and information for school work and useful information. Adults, compared to teens and children, use Web 2.0 to get online jobs, find and hire other workers. Web 2.0 makes it easier for them to communicate with their co-workers in and out of their office.
What are the disadvantages of using the elements that Web 2.0 covers?
- Too many people exploit the benefits of Web 2.0 without taking their time to educate people about the problems.
No matter how advanced the Internet becomes, it is very important for some things to be kept in a hard copy form. What happens when users begin sharing information that is copyrighted? How will people be paid for the work they do? - One of the key problems with Web 2.0 is dependence. If your connection should go down, how will you access the information that you come to depend on? Because many web services will be offered for free, they won't be secure, and they could easily be targeted by hackers.
Which elements of Web 2.0 suits your need as a student?
To me the most useful element of Web 2.0 would be Google. Google is a very famous search engine known world-wide. It is very useful because you can find any information about any subject needed at any time. A variety of any source of information is available. Which is needed more often when going into higher grades and getting older. Google is a very easy and obvious method of researching for information. As well, the information included is recently updated.

What are the benefits/advantages of the elements that Web 2.0 covers?
- · With Web 2.0, information can be pulled from different places, and it can be personalized to however the person wants to.
- · Web 2.0 will allow the population to communicate with each other and spread idea.
- Information can flow freely and people can express their ideas easily.
- The population would become more informed. Instead of getting information from once source, they can find their information from multiple (different) sources, this will allow them to make better decisions about the world around them.
- A good example of this is the ability to read newspapers from various countries. You can view events from more than one view.
- Another powerful advantage of Web 2.0 is communication. It has become obvious that the Internet is one of the greatest communication mediums in the world.

How did Web 2.0 develop in today's society?
Web 2.0 is a more social, collaborative and interactive web. Web 2.0 is not just a change in our society but as an internet and technology also. It's just a social web.
Web 2.0 has changed today's society a lot. That is because of the amount of people who are using the internet nowadays. This led us to a social web where we aren't just getting information giving to us by our computers but we are reaching out to connect with other people and listen to their opinions on the subject or mostly used today, connect with friends for fun.

Web 2.0
What is Web 2.0 ?
A Web 2.0 allows users to communicate and collaborate with each other in a dialogue.
Compared to websites where visitors/people are limited to the viewing wanted. Some examples of Web 2.0 are blogs, wikis, video sharing sites, hosted services, web applications and social networking.

Evaluation
The choice
we made to create for the tech fair was a project not as easy as we thought;
putting the LED lights and resistors in the right place was not a piece of
cake. As well as finding the required materials. However, the equipment was
very cheap. I think we made a decent decision by making the mood lamp instead
of the pinhole camera since the mood lamp can be used after created at home to
light up the house.
An ambient LED mood lamp can actually be very useful in real life. It could be a fun night stand or a table lamp. It doesn't use electricity so you can consider it as "energy saving".

Final decision
My partner and I decided that as our final decision and the project we would start to design would be the mood lamp. The reason for our decision is that equipment we need to make this project are optional and will still work, easier to create then the pinhole camera and the end result is more fascinating and useful.
Software and Hardware required
Pinhole camera hardware needed:
- a large piece of 5mm thick foam core board
- A 2cm x 2cm flat piece of thin metal from a tin can
- three 35mm spools
- A tubual plastic, cheap ballpoint pen (tube will be cut and used in the camera)
- Black acrylic paint
- A strong craft glue
- A sharp knife for cutting the foam core board
- A metric ruler
- A needle
- A fine-grit sandpaper
- A flashlight or electric torch
- A metal straight edge to aid in cutting
Hardware needed for (LED) mood lamp:
- Arduino Uno board (older boards should be compatible)
- USB A to USB B connector cable
- Arduino solder-less breadboard shield (or
- 3 resistors (330 ohm)
- Red LED
- Green LED
- Blue LED
- breadboard connector wire
- white paper
- scissors
- tape
Some of these materials could be substituted if they are not readily available:
- A regular breadboard can be used instead of the breadboard shield
- Other resistors can be used, just try to find three identical resistors between 330 and 1000 ohms
- Any different color LEDs can be used in this project
Software Required
For the pinhole camera no software is required. Although for the mood lamp a computer a Arduino computer software

Advantages and Disadvantages of my ideas
The advantages of making a pinhole camera:
- Captures images clearly
- Captures high resolution pictures within seconds
- High quality images of outdoor and indoor settings
The disadvantages of creating a pinhole camera:
- Might break easily
- Might be difficult to judge exposure correctly
- Long exposure time
Advantages of creating a (LED) mood lamp:
- cheap materials
- no prior or electrical experience needed for the project
- project takes about 15 minutes to resemble
Disadvantages of creating a mood lamp:
- technology knowledge is required
- materials that are needed are not easy to find
- not only circuitry knowledge is needed but also some C programming language
Tech Fair Thoughts
The two ideas that my tech fair buddy and I came up with and decided to investigate further are a Pinhole camera and a (LED) mood lamp. Both projects include quite a few materials and focusing. The reason for my peer and I choosing these two projects is because making the camera was original and different than any other camera pupils created in the past. We also chose the mood lamp because nobody created it before and once it would be created it would be reuseable. Also creating the mood lamp would help expand our knowledge about circuits, motherboards and LED lights.
My partner and I would have to put a lot of time into either of these projects; both of the projects/ideas require some focus and knowledge. I assume that if we make the mood lamp (or camera) they would both take a lot of time to create and quite a few small pieces of important materials. The output of camera would have be more complicated than mood lamp because for the camera we would have to figure out how to import the pictures and be able to review them (during the tech fair). While with the mood lamp all we have to do is just change the code we have to insert to change the color of the mood lamp.

Critical friend (wiki)
For this assignment I assessed Anirudh’s Wiki (not blog).
Strengths:
- The wiki clearly expressed who he is.
- A lot of information for all the pages and the required information
- Shows he put effort into the wiki (decorating it by choice, adding pages and info)
Weaknesses:
- Text is not appealing (font, color)
- A few grammar mistakes
- Layout for each subject and design is not appealing
Improvements:
- Add color to text, change the fond
- Change layout of pages to appealing layout and design
- Pay attention to grammar mistakes
